A biometric mission to come in Sydney to renew or pre-register Belgian passeports

Official statement from the Embassy of Belgium in Australia :

Dear Belgian resident of New South Wales,

With this email I would like to confirm the scheduled date for the biometric mission in Sydney for 2018 during which your biometric data will be taken, either to renew your Belgian passport, or to pre-register for a Belgian passport.

As you may well know, the Belgian passport is a biometric document, for which your personal appearance is necessary (in order to take your fingerprints, photo and electronic signature), even if you have already given your biometric data for a previous passport.

However, you might be interested in a pre-registration, during which your biometric data (fingerprint, photo, electronic signature) will be taken, to enable you to apply for a passport at a later time (within 1 year), by  easy written application and without personal appearance.

The scheduled dates are :

DATE MONTH CITY
29(*) – 30 May Sydney

(*) Afternoon only

PLEASE NOTE that the above mentioned date can be extended to an additional day, depending on the number of applications we receive. We will only be able to confirm the date and time of your appointment after we receive all applications. We therefore urge you to not book flights, accommodation or time off before your appointment is confirmed. An appointment takes 10 minutes only.

IMPORTANT: In a logic of impartiality, the appointments will be taken on a first come-first serve basis. If your obligations only allow you to meet us at a specific time, we urge you to send your application as soon as possible and mention this in your application. Where possible we will give you an appointment accordingly.

In order to RENEW YOUR PASSPORT, please follow the steps as outlined below:
