La crème de la crème – French bakery in Maroubra takes the cake

La Boulangerie in Maroubra takes no shortcuts when it comes to quality and tradition. Its doors have been open since 2013, providing Sydney-siders with a portal to Paris and the full spectrum of authentic and appetising pastries, breads and desserts to meet every taste.

The French bakery’s dedication and passion has been recognised by the 2017 Randwick City Business Excellence Awards and it has won the prize for Outstanding Bakery/Cake Shop out of a pool of 10 nominees.

Christopher Clarens, the force behind La Boulangerie, shares his excitement with Le Courrier Australien. “This achievement is really rewarding for our whole team. It’s a huge indication to us that we’re doing the right thing and that our customers are happy and coming back again and again”

La Boulangerie prides itself on its high quality service and products which are hand-made daily on-site by its team of French pastry chefs.

The menu boasts a grand selection of French baguettes and breads including Parisian, Rustique, Pavé and Batard among others. For those with a sweet tooth, La Boulangerie has you covered; its range of desserts include, but are definitely not limited to, Tarte au Chocolat, Éclairs, Mille Feuilles and Macarons.

This is but a small feat for a La Boulangerie which has big plans to further expand its edible empire across the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
