Bausele is proud to announce its 10 year anniversary at the end of this year. Over the years, Australia’s premium watch brand has collaborated with Australian icons like The Sydney Opera House and The Royal Australian Air Force on two timepieces. Since 2020 Bausele has created its new home in The Heart of The Rocks, Sydney. The brand has also achieved success in developing Australia’s 1st hybrid smartwatch with the Vintage 2.0 and being the first ever Australian watch brand to be featured in the NY Times. Dominic Purcell, Bausele’s Brand Ambassador and CEO, Arron Coote will both be making an appearance on the night, travelling from The United States to come back to home soil. Bausele’s team is excited to open its doors to friends of the brand to celebrate its existing achievements as an Australian company and bringing in the new year, looking towards the future.
Our mission – Behind the brand
“We create premium, collectible pieces for the brave ones pursuing the path less travelled.”
Bausele embodies the Brave. We are authentic, connected and adventurous. We are the brand for the individuals who become the leaders taking the path less traveled. Those pursuing their dreams with a quiet confidence that doesn’t need to be seen, whether it’s the sandy path to the beach or the rocky path to the summit or the sometimes hard to take path ‘from bed to breakfast’ and the even harder path to push on and continue leading. We are for nature lovers, life seekers and memory makers. We are for the collectors who reward themselves for their efforts. We are for leaders who inspire leaders.
Bausele stands for Beyond AUStralian ELEments. When it comes to quality and value, Bausele goes above and beyond. Our ultra-precise Swiss mechanisms are protected by un-scratchable sapphire crystal and surgical-grade stainless steel. Bausele has its own production unit in Adelaide, created in a joint venture with Flinders University. We are proud to be bringing quality watchmaking to Australia, for the first time in this amazing country’s history. Each watch has an element of Australia in the crown. Which means the wearer can keep a piece of Australia with them, wherever life takes them.
Celebrating a momentous occasion.
Limited premium quantities are developed for each timepiece model, with limited edition numbered engravings on the caseback, pieces of Australian RAAF aircraft/sand/earth in the crown make these timepieces one to remember. On this special night, the brand opens the doors of its boutique store in the heart of The Rocks to welcome friends, supporters and VIP watch collectors of the brand. For a one-night only auction of some of their prized watches. Some watches that will be featured on the night are the last of their kind and hence their value exceeds. All profits from the auction will be donated to non-for-profit, Habitat Sanctuaries. An organisation founded by Mat Manson with the mission of protecting and conserving Australian Wildlife. Through Habitat Sanctuaries, Bausele has committed to planting 19,300 trees in 2 years! Habitat Sanctuaries also happens to have their office situated at 75 George St, above Bausele’s floor.
The timepieces that will be auctioned on the night:
Oceanmoon IV AWF number 40 – The Australian Watch Forum 5th Anniversary watch. Only 40 pieces were made of this iconic timepiece. Created in honour of the Australia Watch Forum, Australia’s largest watch group. This Limited edition of only 40 pieces has been designed with AWF co-founder Nick Glynatsis! The group was formed in November 2015 and with over 10,000 members is Australia’s largest watch group. The inspiration behind the bright blue colour on the degrade sunray dial comes from Australia and our ocean and skies which are a beautiful blue. As an added connection to this special place, this watch also comes with some “actual” sand from a famous Australian beach on display in the hollow crown at 4H.
Oceanmoon IV Silver number 100 – The new OceanMoon is instantly recognizable by its oversized, eye-catching orange minute hand and it’s clear sunray dial with Super-Luminova coated indexes and hands. The intriguing silver dial features white hands and numerals that glow in the dark for night- time visibility. Designed as a professional dive watch, it features a 42mm 316L steel case, thick scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a double screw down crown to ensure a solid 200 meter water resistance. The new Swiss Made timepiece is equipped with an inner bi-directional Diving Count- up bezel. An inner soft anti-magnetic Faraday cage protects the Swiss Automatic self-winding movement. The innovation of the strap, made of ocean waste into upcycled plastic is a uniquely stylish addition that belies the good intentions of purpose. It is operated by a high quality deployed “butterfly” buckle. Only 100 were created of this limited-edition timepiece.
Pilot Automatic Cockatoo – Inspired by the watches of aviation pilots back in the day, the 12 on the face of the watch is situated at the traditional 2 position, allowing the advantage of telling the time without having to move your wrist. The same applies in the modern era of performance cars and motorbikes – once you try it, you’ll wonder why all watches aren’t made like this. White matte ceramic watch case, white rubber strap and white watch dial make this timepiece elegantly feminine. Only 50 individually numbered watches were originally available.
