After its impressive success last year, the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) Business Forum is coming back even stronger, this time in five Australian cities instead of three: Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne. It is a unique occasion to meet some of today’s Franco-Australian leaders and to benefit from their wise advice and apply it to your own business. The first meeting: The Adelaide Schneider Electric Business Forum, 1 October 1.30 – 8pm.

Each year, the Schneider Electric Business Forum brings together economists, business people, but also academics and politicians around a common current theme. “Social Licence to Operate: Reinventing the Growth Engine” will be the theme participants discuss in 2019. A national theme is adapted for each locality with the most relevance possible to problems in each state.

Sponsored by His Excellency Mr Christophe Penot, French Ambassador to Australia, who will also be one of the keynote speakers at the Sydney Schneider Electric Business Forum, the Chamber’s flagship event will welcome hundreds of French, Australian and international speakers, all experts in their field. Around 500 people in total are expected.

The Adelaide Business Forum will be no exception to this excellence. It will be structured by four lectures with regular breaks around a coffee, a glass or petits fours allowing you to talk with other professionals. During the day’s programs, the following subjects will be discussed:

  • Values & Culture: Lessons from the Royal Banking Commission (3:20-4pm)
  • Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability (4:30-5:10pm)
  • Data Protections & Privacy
  • – AI and Automation: Impact on Workforces (5:15-6pm)

Prestigious invitees from commercial, political and academic spheres will be present, including Stuart Lindley from Naval Group Australia who will talk about exclusive updates to the submarine program, but also Krery McQuillan from Randstad, Armelle Rebuffet from Business France, Peter Cave from Schnieder Electric, Cate Jerram from the University of Adelaide, Jean Ballandras from AKUO Energy, Helen Stratchan from Pernot Ricard and even Jim McDowell from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet…just to mention a few.

On the subject of the Business Forum, François Romanet, president of the Advisory Council to the FACCI, declared: “This is one of the key events and highlights of the FACCI program. It’s the opportunity to share information, to do more business and of course build a network of knowledge.”

An unmissable event underlining once again the vigour of the Franco-Australian community!

The Adelaide Schneider Electric Business Forum will take place 1 October from 2pm to 8pm at EY Australia – Level 12/121 King William St – Adelaide, SA 5000. The tickets can be procured HERE.
