Jusqu’au 14 octobre : Wildlife Photographer of the Year

Part of portfolio "Nordic mountain wildlife". In April, when the days get longer and warmer after a long and harsh winter period, the mating time of the mountain hares begin. They become more and more active, and even fights occur among the individuals, either for food or for the females. Fighting hares are rarely seen as they are very shy and keep long distance from humans. However, in the mountain birch forest in Vauldalen, Norway, where I have spent many springs in the last 25 years, I have been privileged to observe and capture the secret night life of the hares. Since they are active mostly during night, I used artificial light to see and photograph them.
